News A Chance to Give Back: The Flight Centre Captain’s Co-Pilot
1 November 2017
Recently, we offered to make two custom suits for the face of Flight Centre: the one and only Flight Centre Captain. We commissioned Elio Tornatore, esteemed tailor from As Pinned Alterations in Camp Hill, Brisbane to make these iconic suits.
Our long standing partnership with Flight Centre and the Flight Centre Foundation presents us with some wonderful opportunities to give back. During the design and manufacture process, we came to know about Sayeth Arrowsmith, a 7 year old autistic boy who follows and reveres the Flight Centre Captain. They have formed a friendship, as Sayeth regularly visits Flight Centre stores and travel expos to see his idol.
We were presented with a golden opportunity: to make Sayeth his own Captain’s outfit. We sourced a navy suit to which the tailor added identical stripes and buttons.
In September 2017, the Flight Centre Captain presented Sayeth with his own co-pilot suit at the Travel Expo in Newcastle. Bizwear also sponsored a night’s accommodation so that Sayeth could enjoy his other favourite thing, staying in a hotel.
