News Bizwear and RMIT: Nurturing the Next Generation

Bizwear understands the importance of nurturing the next generation of fashion and textile graduates to ensure innovation and longevity in our industry. As such Mike Gluning, Bizwear General Manager, is a member of the RMIT Industry Advisory Group (IAG) which reviews the education syllabus and advises RMIT’s Fashion and Textile School on industry trends and development. RMIT is now rated as the 8th best university internationally in the study of fashion and textiles.
Mike sits alongside other industry leaders to provide guidance and impart knowledge that will guarantee RMIT’s graduates are ready for the fashion and textiles industry. Other leaders include: Andre Reich, General Manager Apparel, Footwear and Beauty, Kmart; Peter Kreitals, Managing Director, Kreitals Consulting Group; Susan Renouf, Strategic Management Consultant, Renouf & Associates Pty Ltd; Kiri Delly; Mark Daynes, CEO, JeansWest; Phillip Butler, Director, Textor Technologies.
The IAG assists RMIT with research projects into smart materials and systems relevant to our industry today. Working on a national and global scale, this research offers the next generation the opportunity to be at the forefront of industry developments. Not only this, but outstanding graduates ready to continue the legacy of our great industry.
